  • This is the Grand Prix hydroplane boat GP46 Miss Dinomytes driven by Pierre Maheu from Quebec that got ran over by the Long Gone driven by Jimmy Shane of Maryland.  The Miss Dinomytes is missing the 1200HP engine which is now at the bottom of Onondaga Lake.  The driver was unconscious for about 20 minutes.  Both drivers are reported to be in good condition at a Syracuse hospital. Taken during the Syracuse Hyrdrofest on Saturday, June 20, 2009.

  • Medical personnel work to revive Pierre Maheu from Quebec inside his Grand Prix hydroplane Miss Dinomytes (GP46) after a collison with the Long Gone (GP7) left him and the Long Gone's driver, Jimmy Shane, unconscous.  Both men were taken to Syracuse area hospitals for treamtent.  Jimmy Shave was released later in the week. Pierre Maheu was moved to a Montreal hospital later in the week for consultation with his doctors.
